Marivium Cares — The NEO-Bangka Initiative

Marivium Cares is the philanthropic and impact-driven arm of Marivium, transforming maritime expertise, engineering innovation, and industry collaboration into meaningful, long-term benefits for coastal communities. Its flagship program, the NEO-Bangka Initiative, reimagines the traditional Filipino outrigger boat by replacing wood and fiberglass with high-performance Polyethylene (PE) built for durability, safety, and resilience in tropical waters.

This fully operational vessel is engineered to reduce maintenance, resist rot, corrosion, UV exposure, and marine organisms, and significantly enhance buoyancy and safety at sea. By lowering repair and replacement costs, it strengthens stable livelihoods for small-scale fisherfolk. Unlike FRP boats, the NEO-Bangka is fully recyclable and non-toxic, supporting a circular lifecycle approach that minimizes environmental impact.

Through strategic partnerships, the NEO-Bangka Initiative ensures ethical governance, preserves heritage, enhances safety, and delivers sustainable social, economic, environmental value.
